Compatibility Thrives with active, peaceful, mid-to-upper level schooling fish and robust bottom dwellers of similar size. Peaceful schooling fish like harlequin rasbora, scissortail rasbora, Tetras: neon tetra, cardinal tetra, rummy-nose tetra, green neon tetra, silver tip, black neon, glowlight tetra Barbs: Peaceful barb like cherry barb, gold barb (avoid aggressive tiger barbs) Danios: Zebra danio, pearl danio Kubotais can cohabit smoothly with other mild-mannered Botia species such as yoyo loach, zebra loach, and dwarf loach Anabantids: Medium peaceful gourami (pearl or honey gourami) Small plecos (like the Bushynose pleco) or gentle bottom-feeding catfish can live alongside them as long as there is enough floor space and hidden crevices.
Avoid Housing With it is incompatible with slow-moving, long-finned, (such as fancy betta or slow-finned guppy) tiny micro-species, or delicate bottom-dwellers that get stressed or harmed by its boisterous, inquisitive nature. Aggressive Cichlid or Freshwater Shark, Kubotai botias are natural hunters and scavengers that may snack on small ghost shrimp or dwarf shrimp populations

Description

Botia Kubotai

Botia Kubotai is a freshwater tropical fish, often referred by polka dot loach. They require a tank of at least 30 gallons or larger to house a small group of 5 or more. They are peaceful and have an active temperament that allows them to play with their own kind. They also  love a sandy bottom with driftwood combined with dense planting and an open swimming lanes. Native to Salween River basin (Myanmar and Thailand).
