Shipping Information

PJS has been packing and shipping for 35+ years. Be aware, my first priority is the livestock.

Livestock Shipping is dependent on the fish and weather conditions. The livestock must be purged and prepared for packing. The weather conditions are monitored for every order drop , connections and the destination, then a suitable day weather wise is determined from forecasted information.

PJS ships Livestock on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays for NEXT DAY SERVICE ONLY!

NOTE: PJS Will not ship if weather conditions are not acceptable, PJS will not risk the livestock!

 

Frozen Foods Shipping is on Wednesday only, to coincide with the dry ice availability.

Supplies and Foods Shipping is every day of the week via USPS or on Wednesday if alternate delivery method is selected.

Upon entering your zip code, the available options to ship will present.

  • LOCAL Service - PJS offers local shipping for the Midwest with deeply discounted shipping rates. Ships Tuesdays.
  • LOWER 48 Service - Flat Rate according to your address. Ships Wednesdays
  • AIRPORT TO AIRPORT Service - VIA Southwest, please email to request this service. Ships Mondays.

PJS is always actively doing everything I can to control and reduce the cost of shipping.

Local Shipping (Local Delivery Service Area)

Customers located within the Local Delivery range have two options:

  • In-Store Pickup — You may choose to pick up your order directly from our store.

  • Local Delivery — Orders can be shipped directly to your door.

    • Shipments follow Local standard delivery times and will be delivered by next day service.

    • This option is only available for customers located within the local delivery range.

National Shipping Zones

Orders outside of the local delivery range are divided into three shipping zones, based on your location. Each zone has different rates and shipping methods depending on the type of product in your order.

Zone 1

States: Missouri, Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Nebraska, Michigan, Pennsylvania, West Virginia

  • Food Items: $10 (Standard Shipping)

  • Frozen Food & Livestock: $59.99 (Next Day Air)

  • Shipping Method:

    • Non-perishable food items are shipped Standard Ground.

    • Frozen food and livestock are shipped via Next Day Air for the safety of your fish and perishables.

Zone 2

States: Oklahoma, Mississippi, Kansas, Arkansas, Tennessee, New York, Georgia, North Carolina, Connecticut, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Maine, Florida, Louisiana, Colorado, Texas, Montana, Massachusetts, Delaware, Maryland, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Vermont, Virginia, Wyoming, Utah, New Mexico, Idaho

  • Food Items: $10 (Standard Shipping)

  • Frozen Food & Livestock: $69.99 (Next Day Air)

  • Shipping Method:

    • Non-perishable food items ship Standard Ground.

    • Frozen food and livestock ship Next Day Air to preserve quality and ensure live arrival.

Zone 3

States: Alabama, Nevada, Washington, Oregon, California, Arizona

  • Food Items: $10 (Standard Shipping)

  • Frozen Food & Livestock: $79.99 (Next Day Air)

  • Shipping Method:

    • Non-perishable food items ship Standard Ground.

    • Frozen food and livestock ship Next Day Air to guarantee the best arrival conditions.

Packaging Fee for Frozen Food & Livestock

All orders containing Frozen Food or Livestock include a $15 packaging fee to cover:

  • Dry ice, cold pack, or heat pack and insulated shipping materials

  • Specialty liners and containers to maintain proper temperature and safety

This ensures your live and frozen products arrive in excellent condition.

Order Processing & Delivery Times

  • All orders are processed within 7 days.

  • You’ll receive a confirmation email with tracking information once your order has shipped.

  • Transit times vary by carrier and location, but we make every effort to minimize handling and travel time for live or frozen products.
