also called the bignose unicornfish, features a silver-gray to pale greenish-brown body accented with scattered electric blue spots and soft blue edging on its fins. Young fish show a lighter tone on top and a darker shade underneath, peppered with bright blue dots. As they grow past 10 inches, their colors transform into deep brown, purple, or dark gray with brilliant neon blue face lines, lips, and dramatic streamers on their tails. They grow very quickly—up to 5 inches per year—and can reach up to 2 feet in length. They are generally peaceful with most fish, though they can become territorial with other tangs and are known to be strong jumpers that require a tight lid.
