| Compatibility | Peaceful species like Cherry barbs, rosy barbs, black ruby barbs, and tinfoil barb match their activity level and share similar water parameters. Buenos Aires tetras, black skirt tetras, or emperor tetras swim fast enough to avoid being bullied. Zebra danios or giant danios are quick top- and mid-water swimmers that easily outrun tiger barbs. Clown loaches, yoyo loaches, or zebra loaches explore the bottom and hold their own well. Bristlenose plecos or corydoras catfish (like panda cories) work well, though corys may occasionally get chased when first introduced. Bolivian rams or select dwarf cichlids have the confidence and temperament to share a tank |
| Avoid Housing With | Keeping with fish that have long flowy fins like Bettas, angelfish, guppies, gouramis, and fancy goldfish will become severely stressed or slow-moving community fish will hide constantly and get outcompeted for food. |

Description
Barb Tiger Green
Has a Beautiful emerald green body with red edging on its dorsal pectoral and tail fins. These are highly active, playful, and boisterous. They will establish a pecking order in the aquarium and they have a tendency to nip long finned or slower swimming fish. Best kept in groups of 6 or more fish (ideally 10+) in a 20 gallon long or larger a tank (longer footprints are better than tall ones). Well-planted tanks with open swimming lanes and a secure lid, they tend to jump if startled.
