Description
Catfish Corydoras Albino
Albino Corydoras (Corydoras aeneus var. albino) are popular, peaceful bottom-dwelling freshwater catfish. they have a soft pale cream, white, or translucent pinkish-white body. Bright red or pink eyes due to the lack of melanin pigmentation. They are a captive-bred color morph of the Bronze Corydoras (Corydoras aeneus). They grow to about 2.5 to 3 inches.
They need an aquarium of at least a minimum 20 gallons (75–80 liters) to accommodate a proper school. Must be kept in a group or shoal of at least 5 to 6 individuals. Keeping them alone causes stress. Fine aquarium sand or smooth, non-sharp gravel is essential. Rough gravel can damage or scrape off their sensitive mouth barbels (whiskers) used for foraging. Omnivorous bottom-feeders. Feed sinking pellets, algae wafers, shrimp pellets, and occasional live or frozen foods like bloodworms. They are peaceful community fish and are facultative air-breathers, meaning they will occasionally dart to the water surface to gulp air. they will live up to 5 to 10 years with proper care.
