Description

Rainbowfish New Guinea

are colorful freshwater fish belonging to the family Melanotaeniidae that thrive in the tropical rivers, lakes, and streams of the island of New Guinea. Commonly known as the North New Guinea rainbowfish or red-finned rainbowfish, is a peaceful freshwater fish. Peaceful, active, and schooling. They do best when kept in shoals (groups) of at least 6 to 8 individuals. Provide dense vegetation along the sides and back of the tank for cover, while leaving an open middle area for swimming. Keep water movement gentle.
