Description

Corydoras Super Skunk.

The super skunk corydoras (commonly referred to as the Skunk Cory or Arched Cory, scientifically Corydoras arcuatus or Hoplisoma granti) grows to a maximum size of 2 to 2.5 inches. They have a creamy-white, grayish-yellow, or translucent body with a pure white underside. A bold, dark black stripe starts at the snout, passes through the eye, and arches along the dorsal ridge all the way to the tail. Their fins are transparent or lightly tinted fins with tiny dark speckles. They grow to 2 to 2.5 inches and live up to 5 to 8 years (sometimes up to 10+ years with optimal care).

A minimum tank size of at least 20 gallons (preferably with a long footprint for bottom-swimming space). Fine, soft sand or smooth rounded gravel. Sharp substrates will damage their sensitive barbels (whiskers) and bellies. Peaceful, active, and social schooling fish. Keep them in a group of at least 3 to 6+ individuals of the same species. They are a omnivorous bottom-feeder; feed sinking shrimp/algae pellets, sinking micro-wafers, and occasional live or frozen foods like bloodworms or daphnia. Ideal for peaceful community aquariums with small or non-aggressive fish.
