Description
Pleco Peppermint Midnight L031
The Peppermint Pleco L031 (scientifically known as Parancistrus nudiventris) is a freshwater catfish native to the Rio Xingu in Brazil. Generally peaceful with community fish, though they can occasionally display territorial behavior toward other bottom-dwellers or plecos. Black or dark body covered in fine white/mint-colored spots. Omnivore with a heavy herbivorous/algae-grazing preference; supplement with sinking algae wafers, vegetables (like zucchini), and occasional proteins (bloodworms or brine shrimp). Reaches approximately 7 inches. Ideal tank size 30 to 50 gallons, featuring rocks, caves, and driftwood to hide under. Strong current and high aeration to mimic their fast-flowing river habitat.
